How we use your details

Last updated 3 October 2026

Who are we?

PetUltrasound is a mobile pet ultrasound, microchipping and flea and worm treatment service covering Hull and the surrounding area. We decide how the details you give us are used, which makes us responsible for them under UK data protection law.

Email petultrasound4u@gmail.com, or call 07506 168099 or 01482 803606.

What does the booking form ask for, and why?

What you need
So we know which service to bring.
Your name
So we know who we’re speaking to when we get back to you.
Phone number
So we can get back to you and arrange a time.
Postcode
So we know where the visit will be.
Preferred date (optional)
So we can try to book the day that suits you.
Anything else (optional)
Whatever you’d like us to know, such as how many puppies there are.

We use these details because you’ve asked us to arrange a visit. In data protection terms, that’s taking steps you’ve asked for before we provide a service. You don’t have to use the form: you can phone us instead.

If you send a request with a date that has already passed, the details you typed are still sent to us, so we can contact you to sort out a date.

Where do my details go?

When you send the form, our website passes your details straight to a private Telegram group we use for bookings. The website itself doesn’t store them. Telegram says it keeps data for accounts set up in the UK in data centres in the Netherlands, and doesn’t use it for advertising.

The website is hosted by Railway on servers in Amsterdam. Like most web hosts, Railway keeps a technical log of each visit, including your IP address and browser, for 30 days.

We don’t sell your details or pass them to anyone else unless the law requires us to.

How long do you keep them?

We keep booking requests in our booking chat for up to 12 months after your visit, so we can follow it up, and then delete them. If you ask us to delete them sooner, we will.

Do you track my visit?

We use Umami to count how many people visit this website and which pages they look at. It records the page, the website that sent you here, your browser, device type and country. It doesn’t use cookies or collect anything that identifies you, and it doesn’t count browsers with Do Not Track switched on. Umami’s servers are in the US and the EU.

We count visits with Umami, which doesn’t use cookies.

If you switch counting off, your browser remembers that choice on this device.

If you say yes when we ask, we also use Google Analytics to see how people find and use the website, such as which pages they visit and where they came from. It sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_97L1MGVF76, which give your browser a random ID and last up to two years. Google handles this data for us under its data processing terms and may process it in the US. It doesn’t store your IP address, and we’ve switched off its advertising features. Google keeps the record of each visit for 2 months and the random ID for 14 months after your last visit. The totals in our reports are kept longer.

You can change your answer at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of this page. If you change to no, we delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.

What happens when you microchip my pet?

Your name, address and phone number are registered against the chip’s unique number on a national microchip database, so your pet can be traced back to you if it’s lost. The law in England requires dogs and cats to be registered with their keeper’s details in this way.

Can I see or delete what you hold?

Yes. You can ask us to:

  • send you a copy of the details we hold about you
  • correct anything that’s wrong
  • delete your details
  • stop using them, or only use them in limited ways

Email petultrasound4u@gmail.com or call 07506 168099. We’ll reply within a month.

What if I’m not happy?

Tell us first and we’ll try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
